For over 30 years The Charles Herndon Galleries and Sculpture Gardens has encouraged visitors to learn more about the artistic process and how the art gets made. Both Cindy and Charles are long time teachers, and both continue to be passionate about teaching others.
Charles used to have students from The Columbus College of Art and Design to the Gardens to work alongside him, creating their own work and help him with his.
It is in this spirit that we offer you classes this summer in the Gardens! From Macrame, to Weaving, to Kinusaiga (a way of collaging fabric), to beading, there is a skill for everyone to learn. We kick off our schedule in late April, continuing through August. We also offer private classes on your schedule, at your residence or at The Gardens.
