The weekend of June 5 was one to remember as family and friends gathered on Kelleys Island to celebrate bride-to-be Em Gruettner before her upcoming marriage to Joe Weaver, son of longtime Kelleys Island resident Dan Weaver. Emily and Joe will be married on August 1st in Cleveland.
A special thank you goes to Bobby and Nataliya of The Island Ride for providing transportation throughout the weekend and getting everyone around the island safely. We would also like to recognize DJ Marky Mark and the staff at The Casino, along with DJ Blake and the staff at The Groove for taking our requests, keeping the music going, and ensuring the dance floor stayed full all weekend long. A heartfelt thank you goes to Uncle Joe O’Malley for generously opening his home to many of the girls during the celebration.
The weekend was a perfect reminder of why Kelleys Island is such a special place. A sincere thank you to the Kelleys Island community for welcoming our group and helping everyone experience firsthand why it has always been Em’s favorite place on Earth. We can’t wait to celebrate Em and Joe on August 1!
