Happy Semiquincentennial Year! The 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
We will be doing our annual Chicken BBQ Dinner on Saturday June27th at our pavilion. Tickets will be available shortly at our canteen or from a VFW member. Always a sellout so get your tickets sooner than later.
We want to thank both our winter bartenders Mel Burda and Lisa Klonaris. Thank you to both for helping our community. From all accounts it was a successful and fun winter season at the post.
Memorial Day Ceremony will be at 11:00 am on Monday May 25th at the flagpole in the village cemetery. I’ve said it before, and hope to say it often, I am truly touched by the respect our community shows for veterans by coming out to our humble ceremonies each year. Thank you for your continued support of our post and veterans.

Paul Burns was honored by being appointed as a National Aide-de-Camp from Ohio for the 2025-26 VFW year. He was one of eighteen comrades honored with the appointment from all of Ohio. Congratulations!
Also, in pursuit of the by-laws, each April we hold elections for post officers. This past month we elected Greg Yoscovits as commander, Jeff Koenigseker as senior vice commander, Mike Feyedelem to junior vice commander, Paul Burns as quartermaster, Knut Lahrs as chaplain. John Kilko, Todd Neu, and Jim Wojtowicz are trustees. All were elected by acclamation with a hearty round of applause and congratulations to all for another year.
