People often ask how an interior designer ended up opening a fashion boutique. For me, the transition felt completely natural.
For years, I traveled the world in search of inspiration for my interior design projects, discovering beautiful craftsmanship, unique textiles, and one-of-a-kind treasures along the way. Whether I was exploring a bustling market, a charming village shop, or an antique-filled street tucked away in a foreign city, I was always drawn to items with character, history, and a story to tell.
What I eventually realized is that great design is great design—whether it’s a room or an outfit.
As an interior designer, I learned how to combine color, texture, scale, and personality to create spaces that felt beautiful and authentic. Fashion follows many of those same principles. The perfect jacket, a statement necklace, a vintage handbag, or a beautifully tailored dress can transform a person’s confidence just as thoughtfully chosen furnishings can transform a home.
That passion led to the creation of Dejavu Boutique, Kelleys Island’s “not-so-new” boutique.
At Dejavu, every piece is thoughtfully curated. The boutique features an ever-changing collection of women’s fashion, swimsuits, stylish cover-ups, jewelry, handbags, accessories, and unique finds that reflect both timeless style and individual expression. From designer labels and vintage treasures to everyday favorites, each item is selected for its quality, beauty, and character.
Unlike traditional retail stores filled with mass-produced merchandise, Dejavu offers the excitement of discovery. No two visits are ever the same. Visitors never know what hidden treasure they might uncover, and once a piece is gone, it’s truly gone.
