Kelleys Island Prepares for an All-American Summer in 2026

The countdown is on for one of the most exciting summers yet on Kelleys Island as the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce prepares for two of the island’s signature events — IslandFest 2026 and the 20th Annual FilmFest. Both events promise unforgettable family fun, community spirit, and a celebration of America’s 250th birthday with the theme “An All-American Summer.”

IslandFest returns July 17–19, 2026, at Memorial Park and will once again bring thousands of visitors to the island for a weekend packed with live music, fireworks, food vendors, artisans, games, a parade, and activities for all ages. Known as Kelleys Island’s largest annual celebration, IslandFest has become a beloved tradition for residents and visitors alike.

Just two weeks later, the island will host the 20th Annual FilmFest on August 1–2, 2026, at the Ball Field on Addison Street. Families and visitors will gather under the stars for a free outdoor movie experience featuring a giant inflatable screen, classic summer concessions, and a nostalgic drive-in style atmosphere. The 2026 FilmFest theme, “An All-American Summer,” will celebrate iconic American movies and summertime traditions.

These events are about more than entertainment! They bring our community together, support local businesses, create memories for families, and showcase everything that makes Kelleys Island special.

The Chamber is currently seeking corporate sponsors, local business partners, and community donors to help make both events possible. Sponsorship opportunities are available for fireworks, entertainment, individual movie nights, children’s activities, event advertising, and more. Donations directly support free public programming and help maintain the tradition of family-friendly events on the island.

Kelleys Island welcomes more than 60 annual events and thousands of seasonal visitors each year, making these summer celebrations an important part of the island’s tourism economy and community culture.

Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor, donating, volunteering, or learning more about either event is encouraged to contact the Chamber office at info@kelleysislandchamber.com or visit kelleysislandchamber.
