One of Kelleys Island’s most beloved summer traditions is just around the corner as IslandFest 2026 returns to Memorial Park July 17-19, bringing three days of family fun, live entertainment, food, vendors, and one of the largest fireworks displays on Lake Erie. Hosted by the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce, IslandFest continues to be the island’s signature summer celebration and is expected to welcome thousands of visitors to Ohio’s largest Lake Erie island.
This year’s theme, “An All-American Summer – The Pursuit of Happiness Starts Here,” The weekend will showcase patriotic pride, community spirit, and the unique charm that makes Kelleys Island a favorite destination for visitors from across the Midwest. America250 celebrations are taking place nationwide throughout 2026, making IslandFest a special part of this historic milestone.
Festival-goers can look forward to a packed weekend featuring artisan and craft vendors, delicious food, live entertainment, evening street dances, children’s activities, and the always-popular IslandFest Parade. Saturday’s festivities will culminate with the spectacular fireworks display over Lake Erie, a highlight that draws residents and visitors alike to the waterfront each year. The IslandFest Fireworks Committee has launched a fundraising campaign to raise $20,000 to support this year’s display. Donations and sponsorships help ensure that the fireworks remain one of the premier attractions of the festival and continue a tradition that has delighted island residents and visitors.
