Happy Semiquincentennial anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence from your hometown VFW!
We will be doing our annual Chicken BBQ Dinner on Saturday, June 27th at our pavilion. Tickets will be available shortly at our canteen or from a VFW member. Always a sellout so be sure to get your tickets sooner than later. Ticket price is $25 for a wonderful meal and a great community social event.

On May 3rd Paul Burns was elected to an Ohio VFW District 9 leadership position of Surgeon. It is a fantastic process that the VFW uses for elections. There are twenty-three posts in our District, which consists of six north central counties of Erie, Ottawa, Lorain, Sandusky, Senaca, and Huron. Each post is given a number of delegates based on their membership as of a set date. Our post has two delegates, larger post may have sixteen. On that day there were 166 delegate votes available. A simple majority gets the position. Paul might be the first member of our post to hold a leadership in the District. Congratulations!
